The problem
MŠ Slezská runs three preschools in Třinec. Parents needed one place to check the menu, submit absences, browse events, and find the right contact for their child's school. The existing setup was scattered, hard to update, and didn't meet Czech public sector accessibility requirements.
The goal
Build one warm, friendly site that handles three preschools without confusing anyone. Pass the accessibility checks public institutions in Czechia have to meet. Keep it fast, easy for staff to update, and maintained long term so it doesn't decay.

The process, phase by phase
Design
Designed around how parents actually use the site, quick access to menu, e-omluvenka, and the right preschool. Custom illustrations (sun, kids, house, leaves) give it warmth without feeling childish or cluttered.
Webflow build
Built a routing structure so each preschool has its own pages (About, News, Events, Documents, Gallery, Contact) but shares one CMS for menus, allergens, and shared documents. Staff edit in one place, parents always land in the right one.
Accessibility
Ran a full accessibility check against Czech law for public institution websites. Color contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text, semantic HTML, screen reader testing. Published the prohlášení o přístupnosti as required.
Maintenance
Ongoing performance monitoring, image optimisation, content updates, and small UX fixes when staff hit friction. New programs (Bezplatné stravování, MAP IV, Whistleblowing system) added without breaking the site.
What I would do differently
If I started today, I'd lock the multi-site CMS structure earlier. The three preschools share more content than originally planned, and we restructured a few collections later when shared menus and shared documents came up. A 30-minute conversation about content overlap at the start would have saved that. Lesson learned: in education and any multi-location setup, always map shared vs unique content before touching Webflow.

Can preschool staff edit the site themselves?
Yes. News, events, gallery photos, menu, and most documents are managed by staff directly in the Webflow CMS. I handle structural changes and any technical updates as part of ongoing maintenance.
